FAQ

  • 1. How do I change language and appearance? Open Settings in SnapNote and go to the appearance section to adjust the app language and choose light, dark, or system appearance.
  • 2. What does iCloud sync include—and what does it not? The current version mainly syncs text note content: title, body, tags, star status, and archive status. Attachments stay on your device by default and are not automatically uploaded to iCloud.
  • 3. Why are attachments not uploaded with sync? SnapNote uses a local-first design. Keeping attachments on the device reduces unnecessary uploads, helps you manage storage, and makes it clearer where your files live.
  • 4. How does Face ID / Touch ID app lock work? When you turn on app lock in Settings, SnapNote asks the system to verify you with biometrics when you open the app or return based on your re-lock settings. Verification is handled by the system; SnapNote does not store your biometric data.
  • 5. How do I delete local data or uninstall the app? You can delete notes and attachments you no longer need inside the app. Removing SnapNote from your device deletes its local data on that device. If you enabled iCloud, text notes that already synced may remain on other synced devices or in your iCloud environment until you delete them.
