This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application PrivateVault (the “App”). The App is distributed and supported by Zhizi Technology (Sanhe) Co., Ltd.. We do not operate our own backend servers to receive, host, or centrally store your vault contents.
What information the App handles
PrivateVault helps you manage passwords, one-time codes (OTP), notes, sensitive documents, and related basic metadata such as titles, categories, creation times, recent access times, risk-check results, and some local settings. The App is designed to be local-first, so core vault data is stored on your device by default.
Developer-operated servers
We do not upload your vault contents to developer-controlled servers, and we do not provide a company-hosted cloud storage service for your vault. The App’s main features do not require communication with our servers.
Optional private iCloud sync (provided by Apple)
If you choose to enable iCloud sync, the App may use Apple’s iCloud / CloudKit to sync vault data to the private CloudKit database linked to your Apple ID, so your own Apple devices can stay in sync.
That syncing is governed by Apple’s infrastructure, account system, and terms. It is not a proprietary cloud service operated by us. Based on the current implementation, syncing may include passwords, OTP items, documents, related metadata, and derived verification digest information used for master-password state, but your raw master password is not sent to us.
Strict offline mode
If you enable strict offline mode, the App keeps only the local copy active and pauses uploads to and downloads from your private iCloud database until you turn that mode off.
Master password and biometrics
Your master password is your local credential to unlock the vault offline. If you enable Face ID or Touch ID, biometric verification is handled by the operating system, and we do not receive or store your raw biometric data.
Backups, restore, and document import
You can export a JSON backup, restore from a backup file, and import documents from Files or Photos into the local vault. These actions are initiated on your device. Unless you choose to send files elsewhere yourself, those files are not automatically transferred to the developer.
Storage location, retention, and deletion
When iCloud sync is off, data remains in local device storage. When sync is on, related synced copies may also remain in the private iCloud storage tied to your Apple account. If you delete data in the App, disable sync, remove backup files, or uninstall the App, actual retention may still depend on local device files, system backups, and Apple service behavior.

You may contact us at support@geeker.net.cn. We receive information from you only when you voluntarily send an email or attachment. Please do not include your master password, full plain-text passwords, or unnecessary sensitive files in support emails.
Children
The App is not specifically directed to children. Minors should use it with guidance and permission from a parent or guardian.

We may update this page when the App’s features or compliance disclosures change. Please refer to the date shown at the top of the page.
